High quality Longhorn beef from Santa Rita Ranch is available to purchase year round. Freshly cut and flash frozen, beef is available by the cut or by the quarter of a beef. Guests are always welcome at to come to the Ranch and visit the cattle and pick up your beef order. We also will deliver to Durango.
In the summer months, Santa Rita Ranch beef is one of the featured booths at the Durango Farmer's Market. The Market runs every Saturday from the first of May until the end of October, from 8am to 12 noon in the parking lot of First National Bank, on 8th Street in downtown Durango. The Market offers freshly grown vegetables, flowers, herbs, cheeses, and a variety of other products. It provides a unique shopping experience where the buyer can visit with producers to be assured of a high quality, healthy food source. Visit durangofarmersmarket.org.
Santa Rita Ranch was featured in the award winning documentary, "Heart and Soil" a film about growing natural foods in the Four Corners area. Santa Rita bone-in rib steaks were also featured on the Food Network in the show Ming's Quest with Boston chef Ming Tsai. Santa Rita beef is served in local Durango Restaurants, the Ore House, Steamworks Brewing, Cyprus Cafe, the Mahogany Grille and Glacier Club. Santa Rita has been selling beef at Durango Farmer's Market for six years and appreciates the opportunity to participate in the Market with other local growers of La Plata County.
